Safety Vests

ALL HIGH VISIBILITY SAFETY VESTS

National Safety Gear offers a wide variety of safety vests for nearly every application.   Hi-Vis Class 2 vests are ideal for construction sites and where slower moving vehicles are present.   Class 3 high vis vests offer the highest visibility and are recommended for tow truck drivers, highway workers and first responders, where ever there is danger from faster moving traffic.   Surveyors safety vests offer the pockets and features needed to carry equipment and sometime design plans.  Non-ANSI vests offer enhanced visibility and are ideal for worker and visitor identification on job sites, within factories and warehouses.   They are also used frequently for parking lot attendants and dog walkers.

All of our brands provide the quality and long wear, and price is typically based on pockets, zippers, two-tone trims and specific features such as break-away or tablet pockets.   Replace worn and dirty safety vests with new to stay safe on the job.

Whether you are a Fortune 500 or a local company, we can provide customized hi vis safety vests with your logo.

Choosing Between a Class 2 or Class 3 Safety Vest – A Quick Guide

Choosing the right safety vest for your workplace requires an understanding of the differences between Class 2 and Class 3 vests. Class 2 vests provide greater visibility in most settings, while Class 3 is designed for workers who require a higher level of visibility. Class 3 Safety Vests are typically identified because they have sleeves with reflective tape. The added tape and hi-vis material is required to meet ANSI Class 3 specifications.

Understanding the ANSI/ISEA ratings of safety vests is important when determining whether to choose a Class 2 or Class 3 vest. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) have established minimum standards for visibility and color requirements for safety vests. A general rule of thumb is that Class 2 vests are designed for workers in lower-speed environments (off-road construction, landscapers and other workers not exposed to higher-speed traffic) , whereas a Class 3 vest meets higher levels of visibility requirement for workers in higher-speed areas. Local and State laws may also dictate which class of vest to wear.
