Safety Gear Art Specifications
Our art department can work with most file types (PSD, PDF, AI, EPS, JPG, PNG are most common). We often receive a very jagged JPG file taken from a website, but we can turn it into a nice, smooth graphic if enough detail can be seen. Everyone at NationalSafetyGear works hard to make your file as clear and detailed as possible, all typically without any additional cost.
If you want to create your own file for us, here are a few things to keep in mind. Currently we work in Adobe Illustrator CC and Adobe Photoshop CC. If you send your art in one of these formats, be sure to change your fonts into lines since we may not have the same font available. It’s also a good idea to send a PDF along, particularly if you are sending an EPS file.
If you are designing using a program that creates JPG files, try to create the image in the actual size and resolution that we use. We prefer 300 DPI. For full front images, they should be about 10 to 11″ wide. Full back should be 12″ wide and the left chest image should be 4″ wide. We may need to re-size your graphic based on its shape or height. Keep in mind that a graphic created for larger adult sizes, like 3X, 4X and 5X sizes, will most likely not fit on youth sizes. When this occurs, we may have to charge for additional screens to be made.
